BROKEN toilets are not a good look for a tourist destination, businessman says. OB4115-01
BEYOND the Bean coffee truck owner Cliff Inskeep says he’s disappointed the Opotiki District Council has not repaired a toilet that was destroyed on the last night of the year.
“The bowl at the male toilet by the surf club was kicked in on New Year’s Eve,” he said.
“The council hasn’t tidied it up, much less repaired it.”
Mr Inskeep said having a destroyed toilet on the beach during the peak holiday season was not a good look.
“They could at least have put a portaloo there,” he said.
The Opotiki District Council has been approached for comment.
