ROADWORKS to improve driving conditions along Paerata Ridge and Parkinson roads have begun.
Opotiki District Council assets engineer Anthony Kirikiri said the work in the area was the start of the rural road rehabilitation upgrade contract.
“Delta Contracting will be undertaking this section and a section on Parkinson Road expected to be completed by the end of February,” he said.
“The purpose is for pavement strengthening and shoulder width improvements.”
